Description

The Afro-American Cultural & Historical Society Inc., Tri-City Area was founded in 1974 by Jean Ficklin. Our organization is based on the belief that our community needs are of the utmost importance. Our membership is committed to meeting those needs. You can find out about all our community activities and programs on our website at http://www.aachsi.com/

AACHSI MISSION STATEMENT: To provide a vehicle for Black Americans in the area to share our history through educational and cultural activities, as well as networking together in harmony and friendship/kinship with Multi-ethnic Groups throughout the Area. http://www.aachsi.com/mission-statement

Annual commemoritive observances are held to reinforce the philosophy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s peaceful protest movement, and to celebrate his life and legacy, and the people who were with him, marched with him and served with him.

We welcome the opportunity to offer our service and support.
