One of your Chamber benefits is tapping into the services offered by SCORE, “Counselors to America's Small Business”. This national all-volunteer organization of active and retired business managers, owners, and executives, with experience in a wide variety of business disciplines, is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
SCORE business counselors volunteer their time and expertise to provide free and confidential business advice and mentoring. The SCORE Counselor for the Newark Chamber of Commerce is Mr. Gene Page whose background includes both individual and corporate level business experience. Gene is available for one-on-one counseling on Tuesday afternoons by appointment. Additionally, SCORE makes available counseling from another counselor on Fridays by appointment. Clients meet with the SCORE counselor at the offices of the Fremont Chamber of Commerce, 39488 Stevenson Place, Ste. 100, Fremont. The session is free to Chamber members as well as anyone either in business or considering starting a business. To schedule an appointment, call the Fremont Chamber at 510-795-2244 and ask to meet with a SCORE counselor.
